I have tried so many restaurants in Barcelona that I figure out that it is time to write a post about restaurant recommendations. Luka and I love trying new restaurants and eating good food but we also tend to have our favourites. Here are my current favourite spots to grab a yummy delicious food in Barcelona. Let me know if you would like to see more posts like this and if you are from Barcelona and have any restaurant recommendations for me, please tell me in the comments!! I am always looking for new places to try!
This place opened up almost year ago in Barceloneta and it has easily become one of my favourites. When friends visit Barcelona, I always recommend this place. It is vegetarian restaurant (but the food is very delicious) and the decor and overall ambience is amazing. They also have very tasty non-alcoholic cocktails. The food is incredible! Seriously anything you order is good and the menu is very interesting. Their kale and quinoa salad are a must! You also have to try quesadillas with kimchi and avocado and pizza with seasonal vegetable, OMG! So delicious! Plus, you are in a fun area and close to beach if you want to go out after.
We recently discovered this great restaurant in Gothic Quarter. The food is incredible. The pastas are hand-made and every single one is out of this world. My favourite is Garganelli Bolognese. If you like Italian food, you definitely need to check this place out. The pizzas are also amazing and the ambience is so enjoyable. They also have brunch buffet on Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm. We went once but it`s too crowed so better choose some other day.
Luka and I recently discovered this hidden gem in Montjuiic. It has breath-taking views over the city, the port and the sea. The food is incredible, the view makes the meal so much more enjoyable. I recommend for the starters coca de vidre with tomato and steamed mussels, and for the main paella with red prawns of course!
This is the most famous Flexitarian restaurant in Barcelona I think. Personally I like it very much, I think that the food is very delicious, but this type of the restaurant is not by everyone`s taste. If you decide to visit this place I would definitely recommend you to try Teresas`a favourite kale salad, tuna loves wasabi burger and no digas tacos. They also have cold pressed juices, so definitely give them a try too.
Ok, so I like Japanese food but there are just so many Japanese restaurants in Barcelona, we haven’t tried a lot, but we tired at least 10 of them. If you want to have good sushi be prepared to pay. This one is not that expansive and yet you get very good and tasty sushi. But if you really, but really love sushi, Koy Shunka is where you need to go. It’s on the pricier side, but it is worth it! You will have sashimi and sushi that you didn’t even know existed. And miso soup…OMG!
